Some customers have reported long cranking or a no-start or condition when vehicle start-up is attempted. This was due to a potentially faulty electronic steering column lock installed during vehicle production, and affects some 2006-2010 model year Volkswagen Passat and Passat Wagons vehicles, and some 2009-2010 model year Volkswagen CC vehicles. Chicago's Fletcher Jones Volkswagen has more information to help you understand the issue.
