Volkswagen Profits Triple in Q1

2011 is turning out to be an incredible year for Volkswagen, as the auto maker posted triple profit earnings for its first quarter - predominantly in China. Vehicles like the updated Volkswagen Tiguan and Volkswagen Jetta were brought in record numbers as well. Volkswagen announced plans to expand daily production of the Tiguan at the main Wolfsburg plant to 1,000 vehicles daily, up from the current 700.
